songwriting mentorships
ngl, I've felt a lil nervous and so, so excited to introduce these; I have three spots left, and if you're wondering if that's you, read on!
Hello all. I hope your week has gotten off to a beautiful start.
A few items close to my heart up front:
I have been following this mother's journey to bring her son home for some time, & it has not been lost on me that he listens to my music to help him navigate the challenges of this season. If you have even a few $ to spare, it would be a huge help. You can click on the image to find out more about Nick Gadbois and his current situation navigating our (VERY BROKEN) mental health system.
Ruthie Lindsey and Mari Andrew are hosting a retreat called Becoming Your Own Best Friend at Kripalu from March 3-5. It’s coming up soon, so be sure to snag a spot if this northeastern paradise and these two beautiful humans and this gorgeous concept call your name. Ruthie and Mari are both textured, honest, fascinating individuals with big hearts and deep stories. I feel sure that spending a weekend with them and the amazing people who come to this would be a rewarding and life-changing experience.
And now, more on songwriting mentorships. :)
I have been thinking about offering this for a while, and if I’m honest I was scared to because the idea used to feel audacious and a little self-aggrandizing. But as I detail in my last post, I’ve been learning to know better than that. I’ve already got one amazing human signed up (hi!!!) and I have three spots left. They are open starting in early March, and you can learn more about them or send me your inquiry here.
The process is 7 weeks long and costs $2000, which can be split up into a payment agreement if needed. (Just ask)
What’s included:Â
7 weekly sixty minute zoom sessions (or phone calls if preferred) of songwriting mentorship.**** Each week you will receive a songwriting assignment and we will go over it in the following session; we can even talk a little music business, if that’s your thing (or you want it to be your thing)!Â
Artists are all different, so this program can be tailored to your specific needs and goals; I will get to know you and your work in our first session, where we will spend some time setting the trajectory for the rest of our sessions. For example, if you wish to try and begin to make a living as a songwriter and don’t know where to begin, we can absolutely spend some of our time thinking through that together. If making a living at music isn’t your thing but you want to try and grow your capabilities with lyric writing, music composition, and a creative rhythm of life, I can craft our sessions to support your particular goals and desires.Â
To help simplify and speed up the interview and selection process, please do take the opportunity in your inquiry (to the right on desktop, or above on mobile) to give me me a good overview of yourself, your work, and your hopes for our time together should there be room in the program. If there are no current spots available, you can always elect to be placed on the waiting list.Â
You can expect some homework each week to help us get prepared for each upcoming session, although it will not be too time consuming.
Disclaimers:
I will make every effort to find a consistent weekly day/time that works for us both; it will likely need to be during the work day, but I am open to considering other scheduling needs if absolutely necessary.
For the sake of clarity: if a particular call is missed for whatever reason on your end, every effort will be made on mine to reschedule it, but I can only promise this effort for up to two missed sessions. With multiple clients I can’t afford to do too much shuffling around.Â
Filling out an application does not guarantee acceptance into an artist mentorship. I only have space for four mentorships at once, so I will be in touch with you in the weeks following your application submission to let you know whether or not there is room at this time. You can be put on a waiting list if desired, if spots are filled up already.Â
Can’t wait to meet you, imaginary songwriter in my mind. :) Hope to hear from you soon.
XO,
Audrey
